The OlDE Mill history

The concept behind The Fuel House was much like restoring a classic car. To take something nearly forgotten and bring it back to life better than before. We did exactly that to a 100 year old building once known as the “Tiblow Mill” and breathed new life into it in the form of cars, coffee, and community.

The Tiblow name runs deep in Bonner Springs, KS. In fact, the city was first named Tiblow! Between 1840 and 1865, steamboat traffic and the arrival of the railroads brought new people and commerce to the area. The name [of the city] was changed to Tiblow in honor of Henry Tiblow, a Delaware Indian who operated the ferry across the Kansas River. - source -

We are honored to restore and share such an historical building.

Why this location?

When we saw the mill for the first time all we could said was, “Wow!” The brick work and the massive structure took our breath away. We immediately saw what others, for years, couldn’t.

Even though the complex is massive in size, the focus is small.  Our goal is to combine the art of the automobile and the passion that comes from those that enjoy them, via our members, our guests, and our tenants.

The diverse members of this private organization, all of which vary in age and backgrounds, find themselves united by a passion for one common idea: the art of the car.
